Mercy Chefs came to the rescue for many of our neighbors that did not have access to hot food and water. They rode into town like the calvary and immediately set up at Living Waters Church in Estero. Mercy Chefs is a faith based nonprofit orgganization that was founded in 2006. They exist to serve professionally prepared meals in times of national disasters and emergencies and they have served over 1 million meals to those in need.
The work these folks do is incredibly important. They are a direct link to recovery in times of trouble - when folks really, really need help - just like we do in SWFL after our hurricane Irma experience. They care about everyone they come in contact with and have a heart to help others. Their tagline is "feeding body and soul" and isn't that a mission worth doing?
If you haven't read Chef Gary's story. He founded Mercy Chefs and then had to help his hometown of Lousianna recovery from disaster. Very similar to what Gifted Coin is going through this very moment! When we started Gifted Coin, we never thought that one of our biggest needs would occur right here in our beloved neighborhood of SWFL. We are a local company out to do good and help others (think gofundme meets values + responsible vetting + social good mission) We give a % of our fees to local and national charitable causes.
We're raising $10,000 to help Mercy Chefs continue helping our neighbors and commuity. There is much work to be done to rebuild our community (Naples, FT Myers, Bonita Springs, Everglades City, Immokalee, and Marco Island) but at least for now Mercy Chefs can feed folks and offer a much needed rest from worrying where they can find food. Please join us as we thank the folks that came to help us! Help others. Do good.
When you help fund a project, we will give to charitable causes.
