Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach Counties went thru a national disaster together on Sept 10th when Hurricane Irma roared thru the State of Florida. Many of us either experienced the storm, had some damage to homes and businesses, and some personally know friends and family members that lost much more. We want to help our community recover from Irma.
This is where we live and do business. The South Florida Tech community is a close one and we want to show our support. The SFTA and ITPalooza teams are inviting business leaders and Tech companies in South Florida to band together to help so we can continue to impact and grow our vibrant Tech hub in the SE.
To learn more about the SFTA (South Florida Technology Alliance) and ITPalooza, please visit our respective websites at www.southfloridatech.org to see the different ways we give back to our community and learn a bit more about our yearly events we hold like www.itpalooza.org that help keep tech going strong.
We envision helping immediate needs by partnering with local charities to distribute food, water, supplies and basic essentials as folks begin to recover. The 2nd phase of our community give back will be to help provide funding for many of the smaller Startups to help them get back on their feet so they can contract or even hire many of the workers who have been displaced by the storm so that they can obtain jobs from local companies.
Please join us in helping one another in times of trouble.Thank you for helping us help others!
